Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Commercial Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support to the Supply Chain organization. The role involves reviewing, negotiating, and mitigating risk in a variety of agreements, from software and cloud computing to real estate and manufacturing contracts.

The position requires a JD with 8+ years of transactional experience, in-house or external counsel supervision, and a pragmatic approach to risk management.

Qualifications

• Must have JD and 8+ years of transactional experience.
• In-house or external counsel supervision preferred.
• Experience with procurement contracts, software, cloud, IP.
• Ability to manage risk and advise executives.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts, including software, cloud, and licensing agreements.
• Advise internal clients on contracting and vendor relationships.
• Provide legal guidance on negotiation strategies, contract terms, disputes, and IP considerations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across marketing, product, finance, implementation and sales.
• Develop and maintain contract playbooks and standard templates for contracts.
