Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Cold Forming Tool Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize tooling systems for manufacturing. You will mentor junior engineers, train machine operators, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative tooling solutions.

You will lead tooling design for high-performance manufacturing equipment, drive improvements to product quality and efficiency, and manage change control while creating CAD drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of tooling design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of tooling design principles and successful tooling implementations.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience with junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-performance tooling for manufacturing equipment.
• Research, design, and implement tooling enhancements to improve quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA to resolve tooling issues.
• Drive innovative yet cost-effective tooling solutions and maintain tool change control.
• Provide expert support during new product launches and ongoing production runs.
• Create, update, and manage CAD drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
