Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience in cold forming tooling design.
• GD&T knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specs and proposals for tooling strategy.
• Translate requirements into forming progression.
• Model tooling and create drawings; revise during debug.
• Collaborate with tooling vendors and internal toolmakers to meet specs.
• Oversee tooling debug as part of manufacturing startup.
• Consult on quotes with engineering to assess feasibility and cost drivers.
• Operate tool making equipment such as EDM machines, lathes, grinders.
• Proficient in Solidworks for modeling and drawings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; able to work under pressure.
• Keen focus on meeting target dates and deadlines.
