Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Lead Guide to build and coach high-performing teams across campuses, shaping a bold K-12 learning model. You will coach Guides, run life skills workshops, and motivate students toward ambitious, self-directed goals, ensuring exceptional experiences while upholding uncompromising standards.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, launching new campuses, and driving continuous improvement, with relocation to Boston, Raleigh, NYC, Orange County, or Santa Barbara markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance-based termination decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting.
• Willingness to work on-site at a campus (relocation support available).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to consistently deliver exceptional student experiences while maintaining Alpha's high standards.
• Leading engaging life skills workshops that develop communication, leadership, focus, and other real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivating students to achieve ambitious learning goals and maximize progress in their self-directed academic programs.
• Using data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Helping launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture centered on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
