Job summary

Exact Metrology in Milwaukee is seeking a Manager of Quoting & Estimating to lead our Tech Rep team and deliver accurate, competitive estimates for complex machining projects.

You will partner with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and SMEs to evaluate requirements, define manufacturing strategies, and drive profitable solutions for customers around the world.

Ideal candidates bring leadership, machining knowledge, and a track record of building reliable estimates in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership in machining, manufacturing, estimating, or engineering.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining, manufacturing processes, and shop operations.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of estimators and quoting specialists.
• Review drawings, specs, and project requirements to build accurate estimates.
• Evaluate processes, labor, materials, tooling, and production costs.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to ensure sound, commercial projects.
• Continuously improve estimating processes, systems, and team performance.
• Support customer discussions on scope, pricing, and technical needs.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture.
