Job summary

Global Power Components, based in Milwaukee, WI, seeks an Estimating Manager to lead and develop the estimating and quoting function in a fast-paced engineer-to-order manufacturing environment. You will oversee a team of Sales Estimators and partner with Program and Project Managers to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive quotes.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in technical estimating with leadership experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record of improving

Qualifications

• 5+ years in estimating, quoting, project management, or related technical environments.
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical product specifications.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3+ Sales Estimators; establish priorities and allocate resources.
• Serve as primary liaison between Sales and Estimating; review RFQs for scope and requirements.
• Ensure accurate cost assumptions across labor, materials, freight, subcontractors, and manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and Project Management to validate pricing and production assumptions.
• Develop and track KPIs: quote turnaround, win rates, estimate accuracy, and throughput.
