Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking an Estimating Manager in Milwaukee to lead a growing estimating function in a fast-paced engineer-to-order environment. You will develop a team of Sales Estimators, balance workload, and drive quote accuracy and turnaround times.

The role requires strong leadership, cost analysis, and cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and Operations to win bids and support project handoffs.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in estimating, quoting, or project management with technical environments.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Proven leadership experience managing estimating teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of three or more Sales Estimators.
• Review and approve complex quotations and pricing.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and Operations.
• Validate costing assumptions and improve estimating processes.
• Develop performance metrics to improve accuracy and speed.
• Transition awarded projects from quotation to execution.
