Job summary

SpaceX in Washington state is seeking a Supervisor, Precision Machining for the 2nd shift. You will lead a team of Technicians, Quality Specialists, and Machinists, drive a culture of quality, and ensure on-time delivery of precision parts with single-digit micron tolerance.

As a technical leader, you will troubleshoot complex machining issues, optimize machine and labor configurations, develop processes, and mentor machinists to achieve consistent machining excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a machine shop setting.
• Experience troubleshooting machined components.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Technicians, Quality Specialists, and Machinists.
• Provide technical guidance and unblock challenging machining issues.
• Meet demand requirements, forecast capacity, and remove blockers.
• Manage and optimize machine/labor configuration to meet customer demand.
• Drive improvements to manufacturability, cycle times, cost and quality.
• Manage schedules, timecards, and direct report performance.
