Job summary

Weco Manufacturing Group is seeking a CNC Operator Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes. You will ensure quality and safety standards, maintain equipment and records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires experience with vertical machining centers, reading prints and GD&T, and familiarity with Haas or Hardinge machines is a plus. Join a team delivering precision components for diverse industries in New York.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience setting up and running vertical machining centers; ability to adjust programs for cutter comps and tool length offsets.
• Able to read prints, mic readings, and GD&T callouts; identify machining tools by name.
• Punctual, reliable, and ready to work.
• Experience running Haas and Hardinge machining centers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, setting tool registers and offsets.
• Set up mills and lathes with chucks, tools, attachments, and stops.
• Load stock and verify settings with first-run parts and samples.
• Maintain quality by measuring positions and following QA procedures.
• Document production and quality logs and communicate shifts.
