Job summary

Adecco is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in the United States (New York area) to set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components. The role requires reading engineering drawings and GD&T callouts, selecting tooling, and performing in-process quality checks.

Responsibilities include maintaining production records, ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finish, and collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and GD&T callouts.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
• Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds and machining best practices.
• Strong detail orientation and quality focus.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for each job.
• Perform in-process quality inspections with calipers, micrometers, CMM.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust for dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Maintain production records and work order documentation.
• Follow shop safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet schedules.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
