Job summary

KLA Industries is seeking a CNC Cell Lead for large-scale milling and G-Code optimization on the 2nd or 3rd shift in the Duluth, MN area. The role focuses on independent setups on large milling centers, with responsibility for high-strength steel components and close collaboration with design engineering and welding teams.

The position offers a baseline rate up to $34.00/hr plus corporate profit sharing, comprehensive benefits, and premium overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• 2-Year Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in CNC Machining or Machine Tool Technology.
• Demonstrated depth in independent setups on large milling centers and machining close-tolerance parts.
• US work authorization and a local Duluth, MN / Superior, WI commute.

Responsibilities

• Perform Complex Independent Setups on large-scale CNC milling centers and multi-axis machines.
• Edit G-Code and optimize program paths directly at the controller.
• Interpret engineering prints and apply GD&T to establish optimal sequences.
• Conduct first-article inspections using precision metrology tools to ensure tolerances.
• Collaborate with design engineers and welding teams to resolve setup roadblocks.
• Provide floor leadership and mentor junior operators on setup techniques.
