Job summary

Leidos is seeking a talented CNC Machinist Lead Weekend Shift to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, setup, and operation of CNC Mills and CNC Lathes to produce precision aerospace components.

This role requires leading a small team, reading engineering drawings and CAD models, and delivering in a fast-paced R&D environment. Weekend shift is Fri-Sun 5:30am to 6:00pm with 12-hour days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of CNC milling and turning experience.
• Must be a US citizen and eligible for a Secret clearance.
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work overtime and a full-time Fri–Sun 5:30am–6:00pm shift.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and CAD models for precision parts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a small team by example.
• Program, setup and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes to produce aerospace parts.
• Read drawings and CAD models to ensure part accuracy.
• Work on diverse projects in a fast-paced R&D environment with minimal supervision.
