Job summary

Leidos is seeking a CNC Machinist Lead Weekend Shift in Huntsville, AL. You will lead a small team and be responsible for programming, setup, and operation of CNC Mills and CNC Lathes, reading drawings and CAD models to produce precision aerospace components.

The role requires a High School diploma with 5+ years of precision machining, ability to lift 35+ pounds, and the possibility of overtime. U.S. citizenship and Secret Clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 5+ years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds and stand for long periods.
• Overtime availability and regular attendance required.
• Full-time schedule: Fri/Sat/Sun, 5:30am–6:00pm, 12-hour shifts.
• U.S. Citizen with eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a small team by example.
• Read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts.
• Experience machining aerospace components from exotic materials is a plus.
• 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus.
• Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced R&D environment with minimal supervision.
