Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, AL seeks a CNC Machinist Lead on weekend shift to lead a small team and produce precision aerospace components from CAD drawings. The role requires read engineering drawings, operate CNC Mills and Lathes, and handle exotic materials; 5-axis/mill-turn experience is a plus.

You'll work Fri-Sun 5:30am–6:00pm, 12-hour shifts, with potential overtime. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required. Pay range shows competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma/GED with at least 5 years of precision machining on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to overtime and full-time schedule Fri-Sun.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a small team by example.
• Read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts.
• Experience machining aerospace components from exotic materials; 5-axis/mill-turn experience is a plus.
• This role operates in a dynamic R&D environment with minimal supervision.
