Job summary

Leidos is seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join the Huntsville, AL team across 1st, 2nd, and Weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will have experience reading drawings, setting up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Applicants must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. The role supports defense and aerospace manufacturing projects, with 4-day 10-hour shifts or 3-day 12-hour weekend shifts as

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED with at least 2 years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & Lathe s.
Ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Candidate must be able to work overtime when required.
Regular attendance is required.
Full-time, 1st shift - 4 days per week 10 hours per shift; 2nd shift - 4 days per week 10 hours per shift; Weekend shift 3 days Fri–Sun 12 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

Read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts.
Machinist role involves aerospace components and exotic materials where applicable.
Experience with 5-axis and/or mill-turn is a plus.
Operate and set up CNC mills and lathes on various projects.
