Qualifications

• Journeyman, Machinist, or Tool and Die maker certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in machining.
• Proficiency in operating CNC equipment, including boring mill.
• Ability to produce machined parts, including prototype equipment, with minimal supervision.
• Expertise in three-dimensional holding, tooling, mold modification or repair, and special tooling for blow molding process.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills.
• Ability to work with both metric and inch systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA and MIOSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and Company safety standards.
• Plan and execute machining tasks by studying work orders, blueprints, and specifications; interpret GD&T.
• Configure and operate CNC machines, mills, and lathes by entering instructions, setting parameters, and verifying settings.
• Maintain quality standards by observing operations, taking measurements, troubleshooting processes, and adhering to quality assurance procedures.
• Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality.
• Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping to ensure good quality and safe operation.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and production personnel to resolve manufacturing problems and report material shortages.
• Operate power equipment and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.).
• Use personal hand tools and work with both metric and inch systems.
• Submit daily time accounting, payroll information, and other required paperwork.

Education

Journeyman, Machinist, or Tool and Die maker certification

Minimum of 8 years machining experience

Ability to work with metric and inch systems
