Edwards Vacuum in Buffalo, NY is hiring a CNC Machinist III to lead advanced machining operations at our new Western New York facility. You will mentor technicians, drive safety, quality, and SOP compliance, and tackle complex process issues across multiple machine families.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of CNC experience, blueprint reading, GD&T, and programming basics, plus strong cross-functional collaboration and a passion for continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of CNC machining experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and CNC programming basics.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting, setups, and precision adjustments.
• Strong communication skills and experience in cross-functional collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Operate and troubleshoot HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines across various part families.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in safety, quality, and SOP compliance.
• Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex machining or process issues.
• Champion 6S workplace practices and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead root-cause analysis in collaboration with engineers and team leaders when technical issues arise.
• Mentor and train junior machinists, supporting skill development and team knowledge transfer.
• Recommend process optimizations and support pilot runs or new setups as needed.
