Job summary

Atlas Copco Group’s Edwards operation in Buffalo, NY is seeking a senior CNC Machinist III to lead advanced machining, mentor peers, and drive continuous improvement. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving, and a commitment to safety and SOP compliance.

You will troubleshoot HMCs, mill-turns, grinders, and balancers, mentor junior machinists, and participate in root-cause analysis with engineers and team leaders. Strong cross-functional communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CNC machining experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and CNC programming basics.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting, setups, and precision adjustments.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines across part families.
• Lead root-cause analysis with engineers and team leaders when issues arise.
• Mentor junior machinists and support skill development.
• Champion 6S and support pilot runs or new setups as needed.
