Edwards Vacuum in Buffalo, NY is seeking a CNC Machinist II for the 3rd shift. You will independently operate HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines, ensure safety and quality, interpret blueprints, and mentor junior machinists in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to operate multiple machine types efficiently.
• Understanding of basic G-code and M-code commands.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines with minimal supervision.
• Follow safety, quality, and SOP requirements.
• Identify and report process inefficiencies or equipment issues.
• Maintain 6S in assigned work areas.
• Provide feedback to engineers and team leads on recurring issues and improvements.
• Mentor Tier 1 machinists.
• Interpret blueprints, perform in-process inspections, and make basic offsets.
