Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Promontory, Utah seeks a skilled Milling Machine Machinist (Level 2/3) to set up and run CNC equipment per specifications. The role is 100% onsite with overtime, requires strong GD&T ability, blueprint reading, and NC programming experience using Mastercam.

Training others in CNC processes is part of the job. Level 2 or Level 3 may be filled; 3-axis experience and Secret clearance are essential, with 4–10+ years depending on level.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years education/experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• 4+ years’ experience on 3 Axis CNC machines; 4 and 5 Axis a plus.
• 2 years NC programming experience; Mastercam preferred.
• Experience with Renishaw machine probing cycles.
• Read and interpret production specs, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Expert in GD&T and complex measurements; lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Able to work overtime and weekends; stand for extended periods; lift 35-50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Machinist to set up and operate CNC equipment and inspect parts.
• Provide training on CNC setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Perform other related work as assigned by supervisor.
