Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Promontory, UT, is seeking a Milling Machine Machinist at Level 2 or Level 3 to set up and operate CNC equipment on 3-axis machines, with 4/5-axis as a plus. This 100% onsite role follows a 4/10 schedule with required overtime and a must-have ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• 4+ years' experience on 3-axis CNC machines; 4/5-axis a plus.
• Minimum 2 years NC programming experience; Mastercam preferred.
• Experience with Renishaw probing cycles.
• Experience with Teamcenter/workflow databases.
• Experience running manual machines and performing set‑ups.
• Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, and HAAS controllers.
• Ability to read production specs, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Expert in GD&T and shop math for tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Machining parts per specification by setting up and operating CNC equipment.
• Quality inspections during in-process and final checks.
• Care and maintenance of equipment; tooling readiness.
• Provide training on CNC setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or shift lead.
