Applicants should have 5+ years in CNC machining in a precision environment, with prior leadership. This is not an entry-level supervisory position; defense-related projects support Navy submarine components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Prior lead, supervisor, or management experience in a machining environment preferred.
• Experience with large-part machining, horizontal/vertical boring mills, or similar CNC centers preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dayshift machining operations on large CNC centers.
• Assign daily work based on production priorities and machine availability.
• Monitor progress, remove obstacles affecting safety, quality, or productivity.
• Provide technical support during setups, first-piece checks, and in-process inspection.
• Coach and develop machinists to improve capability and performance.
