Job summary

Midwest Precision in Eastlake, OH is seeking a hands-on CNC Machining Supervisor to lead daily machining activities and mentor a skilled team of machinists and setup operators. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while supporting engineering and maintenance to resolve process issues.

We require at least five years in CNC machining, experience with mills and lathes, and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Five years of CNC machining experience
• Experience with both CNC mills and CNC lathes
• Prior supervisory experience including assigning work and coaching employees
• Strong knowledge of CNC setups, tooling, offsets, and machining processes
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and use precision measuring tools

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop CNC machinists, setup operators, and other assigned employees
• Coordinate daily work assignments to meet production schedules
• Provide hands-on support for CNC mill and lathe setups, tooling, offsets, and troubleshooting
• Set expectations for output, quality, safety, attendance, and accountability
• Monitor machine performance, downtime, scrap, and rework
• Identify production issues and resolve workflow challenges to ensure on-time delivery
• Collaborate with Machining Manager and Supply Chain on priorities and scheduling
• Work with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve equipment and process issues
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, travelers, inspection requirements and processes
• Support training and performance development in partnership with HR
• Drive continuous improvement in setup times and throughput
• Maintain production, training, and performance documentation
• Promote a strong safety culture and AS9100/ISO compliance
