Job summary

Technox Machine is seeking a hands-on Machine Shop Foreman / Large-Part Machining Supervisor to lead daily operations in a precision machining environment. This role requires an experienced machinist leader with expertise in machining large, complex parts using both manual and CNC equipment.

The Supervisor will serve as the primary shop-floor leader, ensuring safety, efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in machine shop or large-part machining operations.
• Hands-on experience with manual lathes, boring mills, and CNC equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, and capacity management.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate machinists, CNC operators, and shop personnel.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule jobs to meet delivery commitments.
• Develop machining methods: machine selection, tooling, setups, routing, sequencing.
• Oversee machining of large, complex, tight-tolerance parts.
• Provide hands-on technical support for setups, troubleshooting, and tooling issues.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Monitor work in progress to ensure quality and schedule compliance.
• Maintain safe machine setup, operation, and housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, quality, and project management.
• Train, coach, and evaluate machinists; address performance and safety concerns.
• Lead toolbox talks and enforce OSHA/company safety requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in workflow, tooling, setups, and efficiency.Communicate job status, delays, and technical concerns proactively.
