Job summary

RTCA is a precision aerospace and defense manufacturing group seeking a Lead CNC Lathe Machinist for swing shift at our Fife, WA facility. This on-site role requires leadership experience and strong machining knowledge to improve efficiency while ensuring quality.

You will work with the shop foreman to organize the evening production, inspect parts, and uphold safety and company standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, materials and processes.
• Understanding of mills and lathes machinery.
• History of good work standards, quality and teamwork.
• Competent with multiple machining tools.
• Ability to locate files on a computer.
• Ability to qualify parts using inspection equipment.
• Good math and print reading skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Independent, focused work and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Work a full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location.
• Organize the work for the evening with the shop foreman/Manager.
• Maintain and improve efficiencies while upholding quality.
• Inspect work using gauging and inspection equipment.
• Meet productivity and quality expectations and pursue continuous improvement.
• Follow scheduling guidelines and meet delivery objectives.
• Communicate pertinent information clearly with others.
• Maintain good attendance and report issues to Foreman/Manager.
• Operate multiple machines and perform tasks concurrently.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
