Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking an experienced CMM inspector to develop, test, and optimize PC-DMIS programs for aerospace components. You will operate coordinate measuring machines, generate setup instructions, and ensure data integrity with strict configuration control.

You will also perform FAIs per AS9102, review drawings with GD&T, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with Quality, Design and Manufacturing teams to drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CMM programming experience (PC-DMIS)
• Extensive experience performing FAI per AS9102
• Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M
• Experience with receiving inspection of aerospace components
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management systems
• Experience with tight-tolerance, high-value aerospace components
• Fluent in precision hand tools, gages, optical comparators, and surface plate work
• Experience documenting and tracking discrepancy/non-conformance reports
• Calibration management experience

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and optimize offline and online CMM programs using PC-DMIS software
• Program, set up, and operate coordinate measuring machines for complex aerospace components
• Produce CMM set-up and operational instructions for specific parts or machines
• Store all CMM data securely and maintain backups; maintain configuration control on files and job records
• Edit and improve legacy inspection programs; mentor entry-level CMM personnel
