Job summary

Amazon Leo Manufacturing Systems is seeking a Production Metrology Engineer to develop and maintain automated metrology programs for a range of CMM types, ensuring precise dimensional characterization of space hardware. You will use CMMs and metrology software to investigate dimensional failures and apply laser tracking to align production equipment.

The role includes providing DFA feedback to stakeholders on new production processes and supporting partner teams with metrology programming

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on aerospace manufacturing experience.
1+ years of experience using metrology tools and software.
Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated metrology programs for various Coordinate Measuring Machine types in support of precise dimensional characterization of space hardware.
Use CMMs with metrology software to uncover details around dimensional failures of space hardware.
Use laser tracking systems to align and characterize sensitive production system equipment.
Provide Design For Manufacturability feedback to stakeholders in the development of new production processes.
Support partner teams in need of metrology programming expertise.
