Job summary

PMD Aerospace, LLC in Anaheim, CA is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector to program and operate CMMs, perform FAIs, and ensure products meet engineering, customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong GD&T knowledge, proficiency with MCOSMOS/PC-DMIS/Calypso, and experience in AS9100 aerospace quality systems. This role requires high accuracy and independence within a production and quality environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in precision machining, aerospace, or related manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on CMM programming experience.
• Proficiency in GD&T interpretation and dimensional inspection techniques.
• Experience with MCOSMOS, PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent software.
• AS9102 First Article Inspections knowledge and FAIR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Program, operate, and maintain CMMs (Mitutoyo CMM equipment).
• Create, validate, and optimize CMM programs using MCOSMOS/PC-DMIS/Calypso.
• Review drawings and customer requirements to develop inspection strategies.
• Perform FAIs, in-process, receiving, and final inspections per AS9102.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records per AS9100.
• Prepare and review FAIRs and related documentation.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies with engineering and production.
• Support calibration, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
