Job summary

Florida Blue Group is seeking a Principal Cloud Platform Engineer to design and operate the foundational cloud environment used by application teams as the company migrates off data centers. You will own the landing zone, multi-account structure, and Terraform module library across partitions, including automated account vending and guardrails.

You will lead the platform engineering team, define architectures, enable self-serve patterns, and govern designs in collaboration with governance

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating cloud infrastructure in a multi-account AWS/Azure environment.
• 1+ year of leadership, including direct supervision and team mentoring.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the landing zone, OU models, and account vending.
• Build and maintain Terraform module library and platform CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead the platform engineering team, set direction, mentor engineers.
• Define reference architectures and enable self-service for apps.
• Review designs and represent the platform in governance forums.
• Set up centralized logging and monitoring with CloudTrail, Config, CloudWatch.
• Detect and remediate configuration drift across accounts.
• Build automated account vending using Control Tower and Account Factory.
• Maintain Terraform modules used by other teams.
