Job summary

Charter Communications, the Spectrum division, seeks a Principal Software Engineer I to modernize enterprise applications for customer care and back-office operations. You will drive cloud-native transformations, establish engineering standards, and guide teams through API-first architectures.

The role emphasizes leadership, architecture governance, and collaboration across product teams, with a hybrid office schedule and remote work up to one day per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4-5 years experience with GitLab or GitHub.
• 2-3 years cloud infrastructure management and architecture experience.
• 2-3 years experience with Helm and other Kubernetes management tools.
• Expert-level proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET 8+, and OO design principles.
• Experience building and deploying microservices using containerized architectures.
• Experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL).
• Strong experience with Git-based source control platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong front-end development experience using ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural modernization of enterprise-scale .NET apps into cloud-native microservices.
• Set technical strategy for cloud adoption, modernization, and software quality.
• Drive digital transformation supporting customer service and back-office teams.
• Design scalable, secure distributed systems using AWS/GCP.
• Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD automation, IaC, and best practices.
• Guide teams in modern front-end tech and API-first architectures.
• Lead design reviews, architecture governance, and cross-team decisions.
• Evaluate AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Mentor senior engineers and foster technical excellence and collaboration.
• Partner with business leaders to align tech investments with 전략.
