Job summary

Spectrum in Raleigh, NC seeks an Application Modernization Architect to guide cloud-native development and software modernization. You will translate complex requirements into architectural roadmaps, deliver PoCs, and lead hands-on coding when needed.

You’ll engage clients, design reference architectures, and define statements of work, cost estimates, and modernization strategies across microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD, while mentoring delivery teams and speaking at events.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of software engineering/development experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assess legacy application portfolios and develop modernization roadmaps.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable software solutions.
Conduct technical discovery and strategy workshops on microservices, cloud-native architecture, DevOps, and CI/CD.
Serve as trusted technical advisor on cloud technologies and software architecture.
Define scope, cost estimates, labor projections, and prepare SOWs, pricing, and RFP/RFI responses.
Design reference architectures and migration frameworks balancing cost, security, and performance.
Architect full-stack solutions delivering measurable business value and guiding teams through modern delivery practices.
Provide hands-on development leadership when needed and contribute to PoCs/PoVs.
Engage as a thought leader through industry speaking, white papers, and case studies.
