Job summary

Ryder is seeking an Application Development Lead to guide design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications across a range of platforms. You will partner with solution architects, security, and infrastructure teams to drive secure, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment, with responsibility for ensuring governance, security, and operational excellence across DEV to PROD environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Logistics, Transportation or Business; relevant experience may substitute.
• Master’s Degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• 5+ years in application development or technology management or Master’s with 2+ years.
• MS-SQL/SSIS-SSRS expertise required.
• Warehouse Management Systems experience valuable.
• Manhattan SCALE/SCI experience preferred.
• Integration software using ANSI X12, XML, and databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of technology products and applications using best practices.
• Coordinate systems installation and testing across the SDLC.
• Modernize and remediate technical debt in products and applications.
• Perform root-cause analysis to resolve issues with options and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security to design scalable, available platforms.
• Ensure infrastructure considerations like capacity planning, performance tuning, and recovery.
