Job summary

Zebra Technologies in the United States seeks a Cloud AI Engineer Lead to drive innovation across IT Platform Engineering, Cloud Security, and AI initiatives. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years experience on an operations style team (NOC, SOC, MOC) and troubleshooting cloud-based Infra.
• Hands-on Google Gemini Enterprise experience with ADK.
• Multi-Cloud & GenAI platform proficiency including GCP, Azure, OpenAI, Anthropic.
• Experience in global, heterogeneous cloud/on-prem environments.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, MCP, tool calling, orchestration frameworks.
• Python scripting for automation/testing; CI/CD and containerized AI solutions with Kubernetes.
• Security RBAC, PII masking, and experience integrating guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate innovation opportunities across Platform Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Translate technical findings into user stories, requirements, and concepts.
• Lead PoCs and hands-on delivery for cloud and platform initiatives.
• Research disruptive technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Zebra's innovation teams.
• Plan ideation workshops and promote collaborative problem-solving.
• Act as an Innovation Evangelist for modern engineering practices.
• Track KPIs and report progress to leadership.
• Define repeatable operating models for cloud-native AI/ML deployments.
