Zusammenfassung

Inovalon seeks a Clinical Informatics & Ontology Lead to serve as the enterprise SME for clinical terminology, semantic normalization, ontology strategy, and governance across the data informatics function.

You will steer ontology design, reference data, value sets, and terminology services that underpin real-world data products and data quality frameworks. Collaborate with data engineering, product, and clinical teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and scalable data assets.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of healthcare data, clinical informatics, terminology management, or related field; or 7+ years with Master's degree.
• Terminology expertise with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data profiling of large healthcare datasets.
• Experience designing or governing clinical normalization workflows and terminology services.
• Ability to translate complex terminology decisions for multiple stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Lead strategy, governance, and maintenance of clinical ontologies and terminology assets.
• Own normalization and terminology services; translate requirements into configuration and implementation priorities.
• Drive clinical normalization for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data with governance.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, and Clinical teams to ensure high-fidelity downstream data products.
• Define data quality rules and semantic validation checks; identify gaps and mapping issues.
• Provide governance for legacy reference tables and knowledge graph capabilities where applicable.
