Job summary

Inovalon seeks a senior Clinical Informatics & Ontology Lead to steward enterprise terminology, ontologies, and governance for real-world data products. You will shape normalization strategies, ensure data quality, and drive semantic accuracy across healthcare datasets.

The role partners with Data Engineering, Product, and Clinical teams to translate clinical requirements into scalable ontology services, reference data, value sets, and standardized mappings, while maintaining policy compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years in healthcare data, clinical informatics or related field; Bachelor's required.
• 7+ years with Master's degree.
• Deep hands-on expertise with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm and terminology lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, governance, and maintenance of clinical ontologies and terminology assets (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm).
• Serve as primary informatics lead for normalization and terminology services; translate requirements into configuration and mapping priorities.
• Direct clinical normalization approaches for structured and unstructured data with governance.
