Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL seeks a Clinical Supervisor RN to lead the nursing team in the Observation Unit. The role supports department administration, performance improvement, and staff training while ensuring high-quality patient care within the shift.

Full-time Days, 7:00am–7:30pm with rotating weekends; BSN preferred and active RN license required. BLS/ACLS on hire; 2+ years of clinical nursing with 1 year in leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification on hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative responsibilities for the department service functions and work with the unit Director/Manager.
• Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare, conduct and oversee department orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration in written and verbal form.
• Ensure the quality of staff and functions during the shift; supervise, direct, and evaluate personnel.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within the scope of practice.
• Assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
