Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Saint Mary of Nazareth in Chicago is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the Behavioral Health unit (Male Floor). The role supports administrative duties, directs staff, and ensures quality of care during day shifts.

Requires active RN license in IL, BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS on hire, with at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience and 1 year in leadership. Full-time days, competitive compensation and generous sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license.
BSN degree preferred.
BLS and ACLS certifications on hire.
Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides administrative support for the department and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
Oversees orientation and training of staff within the department.
Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
Accountable for staff quality and departmental functions during the shift; directs, supervises and evaluates personnel.
Assists the Department Director in daily unit operations and ensures efficient use of time, equipment and staff.
Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice and adapts plan of care accordingly.
