Job summary

Labcorp in Chicago, IL seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations at the Illinois Cancer Centers. The role requires supervising staff, maintaining quality control, and ensuring timely reporting of laboratory results.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, with responsibilities including process improvements, regulatory compliance (CLIA/CAP), and personnel development in a high-volume lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 3 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Strong supervisory or team leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Illinois Cancer Centers at Progressive and Niles department.
• Ensure tests are accurately performed and results reported promptly.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel.
• Monitor workflow and schedule adequate assay coverage.
• Maintain staffing across shifts and oversee payroll/files.
