Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a skilled crew lead in Burr Ridge, IL to direct a team and manage tree care operations on-site. You will guide pruning, removal, cables and bracing, and safety procedures while mentoring crew members through the company's development program.

Qualifications include love of the outdoors, completion of Davey safety and first aid courses, and preferred ISA/TCIA certifications. The role offers full-time employment with benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Love of outdoors and outdoors work.
• Complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred licenses and certificates for pesticide work.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.

Responsibilities

• Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work or tasks.
• Lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients.
• Manage jobsite hazards, obstacles, plan, and equipment (HOPE) process.
• Prune, thin and remove deadwood throughout the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Remove hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
