Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Lombard, IL is seeking a hands-on crew lead to direct a team and equipment for arboricultural tasks. You will plan, execute, and supervise care for our clients' trees while ensuring safety and efficiency onsite.

Responsibilities include pruning, cable and lightning protection installation, removal of hazards, and mentoring the crew through the Davey Career Development Program. On-site work with a strong safety focus and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist , ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew and equipment to provide arboricultural care for clients.
• Directly supervise crew in jobsite planning and safety (H.O.P.E).
• Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood in tree canopies.
• Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Removal of hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
