Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Burr Ridge, IL seeks a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to direct a skilled crew on-site. You will climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems and perform arboricultural care for clients, from pruning to removal of hazardous trees.

Starting pay ranges from $30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience. The role includes safety training, a strong benefits package, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticides licenses and certificates.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Safely and productively lead a crew in arboricultural care for our clients.
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the canopy.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Removal of hazardous trees.
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
