Job summary

Salt Lake City is seeking a Clean-up Equipment Operator II to operate a wide range of light to heavy equipment for cleanup projects, snow removal, and related tasks. You may serve as acting lead of a crew and must obtain a CDL within six months of hire.

The role includes on-call shifts and benefits eligibility, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and reliable operation of municipal fleets.

Qualifications

• Six months operating equipment related to broom operations or cleanup operations.
• Two years’ related work experience operating equipment such as skid steers and heavy pickup trucks (II).
• Possession of a valid CDL or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate a full range of light to heavy construction equipment for cleanup applications.
• Intermittently lead work crews coordinating with a supervisor.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
