Job summary

LACOSTA Facility Support Services in Ashtabula, Ohio, is seeking a Lead Cleaner to supervise a team of cleaners, ensure high cleanliness across the site, and uphold safety standards during a Monday–Friday schedule with a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning staff and audits to ensure cleanliness standards.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.

• Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance.
• Clean windows, walls, and surfaces as needed.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling across the facility.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and organized.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.

Job Skills / Requirements

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lead Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and will be responsible for overseeing our team of cleaners to ensure cleanliness across the site. The lead will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency in commercial cleaning tasks.

Schedule: Monday-Friday

• Shift: 3:00 PM-11:30 PM

Pay: Paid weekly! (every Friday)

• $16.50/hr

Duties:

• Must wear all PPE the entire duration of 8 hour shift, this includes: Steel toe shoes, hi vis vest, safety glasses, hard hat, etc.)
• Oversee cleaning staff and conduct audits to ensure all areas are kept up to cleanliness standards
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of windows, walls, and surfaces as needed.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Experience

• Must have previous leadership experience
• Must have previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning standards and practices is beneficial.
• Experience with industrial cleaning methods is advantageous.
• Skills in residential painting or general maintenance can enhance your application.
