Simple Custodial Services LLC is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Lead Cleaner to oversee daily commercial cleaning operations at client sites. You will supervise both day and evening teams, ensure quality standards, and serve as the primary on-site contact during shifts.

The role emphasizes hands-on cleaning, staff training, shift transitions, and maintaining a safe, presentable facility. Schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and motivated Lead Cleaner to oversee daily commercial cleaning operations and provide leadership for both the day and evening cleaning teams. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining quality standards, ensuring smooth shift transitions, providing staff coverage, training employees, and serving as the primary on-site point of contact during the assigned shift.

The Lead Cleaner works alongside the team while ensuring the facility remains clean, safe, and presentable. This position also conducts quality inspections, manages supplies, communicates with management, and helps ensure daily operations run efficiently.

Tuesday - Saturday

Shift

2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (30-minute unpaid meal break)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support cleaning staff while maintaining company cleaning standards.
• Perform commercial cleaning duties, including but not limited to:
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Emptying trash and replacing liners.
  • Cleaning glass, doors, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Restocking restroom and janitorial supplies.
• Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure all assigned areas meet company and client expectations.
• Oversee the transition between the day and evening shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
• Provide shift coverage as needed to maintain staffing levels and uninterrupted service.
• Train, coach, and assist with onboarding new employees.
• Assign work and monitor employee productivity throughout the shift.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and notify management of replenishment needs.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and facility damage promptly.
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for employees, supervisors, and clients during the assigned shift.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and safety procedures.
• Complete inspection reports, checklists, and other required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of commercial cleaning experience required.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional with a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading janitorial or facility cleaning teams.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
• Experience performing quality inspections and employee coaching.
