Job summary

Blue Origin Engines seeks a licensed civil/structural engineer to lead the civil-structural design for test facilities and infrastructure. You will own the design cycle from concept through construction, coordinating with geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in civil/structural engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil or Structural engineering (US).
• Minimum 7 years of experience delivering structural/civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to own complex designs from concept through construction.
• Strong leadership and ability to review designs and set standards.
• Advanced experience with structural design software and hand calculations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of the most complex buildings, foundations, and site infrastructure.
• Serve as internal design authority for civil-structural work and set technical direction.
• Create detailed structural drawings and calculations to industry standards.
• Perform advanced structural analysis and document load, capacity, and code compliance.
• Coordinate with geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers.
• Manage external design firms, consultants, and general contractors.
