Orion Engineers + Constructors is seeking a Civil/Structural Designer in Houston to independently develop detailed civil and structural design documents for complex industrial projects. You will lead design efforts using AutoCAD Civil 3D, CADWorx, Navisworks, and Revit, ensuring compliance with IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE, and client specifications.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review vendor drawings, mentor junior staff, and support field activities and project planning.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in civil/structural engineering; knowledge of codes required.
• 5+ years in Civil/Structural design for industrial projects preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead civil/structural design activities for EPC projects.
• Develop 2D/3D models and drawings using CAD tools.
• Ensure designs comply with IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE, and client standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical and process disciplines.
• Review design documents, shop drawings and vendor submittals.
• Provide mentorship to junior designers and drafters.
• Support field activities and respond to RFIs.
• Contribute to project planning, estimating and scheduling.
• Prepare technical documentation including calculations and specs.
• Identify and implement design improvements and efficiencies.
