Job summary

Equinox Engineering is seeking a Civil Structural Design Lead in Houston, TX with 10+ years of EPCM experience to direct multidisciplinary design on complex energy projects and mentor junior designers.

You will coordinate all civil structural drafting and 3D modeling using CADWorx, Advance Steel and Civil 3D, oversee reviews, ensure quality, safety, and on‑time delivery, and collaborate with disciplines, management, and clients.

Qualifications

• Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma required.
• 10+ years of Civil Structural design experience in an EPCM environment.
• Proven experience leading Civil Structural design teams on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, concrete, piling, foundation and earthworks.
• Proficiency with CADWorx, Advance Steel, Civil 3D and related software.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; proven leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee Civil Structural drafting and design across projects.
• Lead a team of Civil Structural Designers to ensure efficient delivery.
• Guide 3D modeling using CADWorx, Advance Steel, Civil 3D and review layouts.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and compliant with standards.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and scope of work.
• Lead reviews and coordinate follow-up actions with disciplines and clients.
