Job summary

Orbital Engineering Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Designer for a remote role to support heavy industrial projects. You will produce detailed CAD drawings, perform field verifications, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Required 5+ years in civil/structural drafting, proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, and CadWorx, with attention to safety and constructability. Some travel to client sites may be necessary, and a TWIC card is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil/structural drafting and design experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit.
• Knowledge of industry standards and ability to work with CAD systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual drawings, sketches and material take-offs of concrete and steel.
• Create detailed design drawings for industrial facilities including foundations, grading and piping.
• Review vendor drawings and update CAD standards for accuracy.
• Mentor junior designers and participate in project meetings.
