Job summary

TerraPower LLC is seeking a Site Design Engineering Lead Civil Engineer to oversee the onsite civil engineering design team for the Natrium Demonstration Project near Kemmerer, Wyoming. The role ensures alignment with construction, testing, startup, and turnover activities while meeting design, licensing, and nuclear safety standards.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, 10–15 years of experience with 5–7 years in leadership, and extensive nuclear project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or higher.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience with 5–7 years in leadership.
• Experience with nuclear facility design and construction support.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite civil/structural design and field engineering teams.
• Interface with construction, licensing, and regulatory entities to resolve issues.
• Ensure design outputs comply with licensing basis and nuclear quality programs.
• Mentor engineers and develop growth opportunities within the Natrium program.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new engineers and maintain site safety protocols.
