Job summary

Bowman in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Civil Engineer III to join our team. You will lead technical direction on complex land development projects, review zoning, obtain permits, and develop civil designs using Civil3D and AutoCAD.

Collaboration with clients, agencies, and sub-consultants is essential. The role requires a Bachelor's in civil engineering, 5+ years of land development experience, and preferred PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required at time of hire.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Five or more (5+) years of experience in the land development industry.
• Experience with computer applications and civil engineering design software such as Civil3D.
• Proficiency with reading construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction over other engineers and provide guidance on complex projects.
• Assist with marketing the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships.
• Work with senior engineers, clients and agencies on complex project issues.
• Review zoning regulations and assist permits for land development projects.
• Create initial civil design approaches and prepare reports and specifications.
